The 31-yr-old Minister for Health Simon Harris came out last night alongside his boss the Taoiseach Leo Varadkar and American-born Minister for Children Katherine Zappone to campaign for abortion on demand up to 12 weeks.
Harris is now going to look at the wording of the question for the referendum on the Eighth Amendment, the amendment that states the unborn baby has an equal right to life as its mother, over the coming days.
No date has been announced for the referendum but it’s understood to be either very late May or early June.
