5.5-magnitude earthquake hits China’s southern province of Sichuan

A 5.5-magnitude earthquake has struck the province of Sichuan, in southern China.

The quake’s epicenter was located at 78 kilometres (48 miles) west of the Chinese city of Guanyuang, at a depth of 10 km (6 miles).

There are no immediate reports of casualties of heavy damage in the area.
