Sometimes they say that a change from the norm can be a good thing, well for one family from Birr, Co. Offaly this saying might very well be true as they have just won €500,000 on the EuroMillions Lotto draw recently after playing the European lotto for the very first time.
The family who wish to remain anonymous have been playing the Irish Lotto together for the past seven years, won the whopping €500,000 prize after they decided to play the the EuroMillions for change rather than play the National Lottery as normal earlier this month.
The lucky family of five collected their €500,000 wining cheque at National Lottery headquarters earlier today and they couldn’t be happier.
It is understood that the winning family will split their prize equally, with each of them pocketing €100,000 each.
