Katie Taylor’s decision to turn professional could very well pay off next month after it was confirmed today that the Bray native will challenge for a world title next month in Cardiff.
The news of Katie’s historic title fight was confirmed by boxing promoter Eddie Hearn, who revealed details of the undercard for the highly anticipated Joshua VS Pulev fight which take place at the Principality Stadium on October 28th.
Taylor who has breezed through her six previous bouts will take on two-weight world champion Anahi Sanchez for the WBA world lightweight crown on with will an action packed night.
The former Olympic Gold medalist will surely be hoping to seize her opportunity next month as she has already shown her dominance in the ring by knocking out four of her previous six opponents.
