A young child had to be airlifted to hospital on Friday afternoon after their hand became impaled on a fence.
According to Belfast Live, the young child was airlifted to hospital after the Northern Ireland Ambulance Service were called in to rescue the child.
The Air ambulance service say they were alerted to the incident at approximatley 4:30pm on Friday afternoon when they recieved a report that a young child was in distress in the Andersontown area of West Belfast.
Although it is not yet known how the child recieved the injury, police say an investigation is currently ongoing.
