Tragic news emerged late last night from Co. Down after an 8-yr-old boy sadly lost his life in a two-car crash.
The crash involved a Ford Focus and Audi Q3 and occured around 5:30pm on the Aughnacloy Road in Banbridge.
The young boy was sadly pronounced dead at the scene of the crash.
Three other people have been hospitalised. Their injuries have been described as serious with one of the injured said to be another child.
The PSNI are appealing for anyone with information about the incident to contact them on 101.
