The Minister for Health Simon Harris is scheduled to outline details regarding his department’s recent review into the current overcrowding crisis at the nations hospitals.
Minister Harris who ordered the review almost two weeks ago, is set to provide details of what infrastructure is required to deal with the current crisis and what infrastructure is needed to prevent such scenarios in the future.
It is expected that the Health Minister will agree with previous recommendations that will require his department to provide an extra 2,500 beds across the country by 2031.
Mr Harris is also expected to announce proposals that will see public awareness campaigns being set up in the future in order to prevent issues such as the current flu epidemic that is sweeping across the country.
