The Sinn Féin party are open to the possibility of forming a minority Government with either Fine Gael or Fianna Fáil according to party leader Gerry Adams.
Although for unexpected deal to happen Mr Adams said he would have to ‘wait and see’ what proposals were put on the table by either party. The news comes as a number of parties along with independent TD’s have begun discussions on building a new Government before the Dáil meets next Thursday.
However the Sinn Fein leader said he would fully consider being part of a minority Government if they promised to deal with certain issues, Mr Adams said: “It’s clear that Fine Gael say that water charges won’t go, and Fianna Fáil are simply saying we will get rid of them for a wee while.” “All the other issues which are deeply deeply upsetting for people we haven’t heard anything from the other parties on those issues.”
