Aer Lingus has been forced to cancel a number of US-bound flights, due to severe winter storms overseas.
Heavy snow and freezing temperatures prompted the cancellation of at least four flights departing from Dublin and Shannon.
Large swathes of eastern US is currently in the grip of deep cold and heavy snowfalls, with temperatures plummeting to -10C in places. The cold spell has caused widespread disruption to travel, power outages, and has been a factor in at least 9 deaths
