President Trump has tweeted about his concern in relation to the South African government’s move to seize privately owned land and the targeting of farmers in the country.
Predictably major media outlets attacked the President and accused him of lying but a senior South African politician has confirmed the veracity of the President’s remarks, Breitbart reported.
President Trump tweeted last week that he had instructed his Secretary of State, Mike Pompeo, to study “South Africa land and farm seizures and expropriations and the large scale killing of farmers. “South African Government is now seizing land from white farmers.””.
Now South African member of parliament, Julius Malema, and leader of the Economic Freedom Fighters party has confirmed that “Through land expropriation, we are forcing white people to share the land which was gained through a crime against the humanity of black and African people,” The Blaze reported.
South African President Cyril Ramaphosa announced earlier this month that the South African government is enforcing a change in the country’s constitution to allow land expropriation without compensation as whites still own most of the land, RT reported.
Experts have warned this policy could lead to economic catastrophe and destitution as it did in Zimbabwe.
