Age debate: Man in the Netherlands submitts legal bid to cut his age by 20 years

In an extraordinary case in the Netherlands a 69-year-old man has begun a legal case to reduce his age by 20 years.

The case which has stunned legal professionals, Emile Ratelband has begun his bid to legally reduce his age.

Mr Ratelband who will be 70 in two months, has apparently told a tribunal that he wants to change his birth date to 11 March 1969.

The life coach, who has claimed that he is being discriminated against because of his age, has argued that he should have the same rights as a person who wants change their gender.

Mr Ratelband who said although he doesn’t need to use dating websites such as Tinder, claimed that the mandatory custom of giving his age is haulting his prospects with women.

The determined life coach has even submitted medical information by his doctor which quotes his doctor saying that he has a biological age of between 40 to 45 years of age.

It is expected that the unusual case will take up to four weeks to decide.
