There were over 2,700 food hampers handed out to people in need on Friday.
In a week when the official homeless was revealed to be at almost 10,000 people, The Capuchin Day Centre handed out nearly 3,000 food packages.
The centre which carries out its annual Christmas food drive saw queues descend its centre on Bow Street.
