We may all enjoy a bit of snow now and again here in the Emerald Isle. It means the school kids get a few days off to play, and for the rest of us, well it’s nice to see, but it’s just more difficult getting to the shops/work/gym/pub!
America is facing a different ball game this weekend though. The entire East Coast is said to see scenes reminiscent from the blockbuster movie “The Day After Tomorrow”.
Up to 4 feet of snow is expected to fall in Chicago, Washington and many other inland cities. New York City is said to receive 2 feet of snow over the next 36 hours with all flights cancelled both ways in JFK airport.
Along side that, rations in food stores are said to have already nearly ran out. People are “panic buying” in an attempt to batten down the hatches and brave the storms at home.
Fox News is reporting that the storm is predicted to be “the worst snow storm the East coast has seen since records began”.
