The Minister for Children Katherine Zappone came out late last night with the Taoiseach Leo Varadkar and 30-yr-old Minister for Health Simon Harris to declare that she will campaign for abortion on demand up to 12 weeks.
Zappone, who was born in Seattle, Washington and who didn’t become an Irish citizen until she was just 42 years old appears to think it doesn’t matter that she’s the Minister for Children yet campaigning against unborn children.
The 64-yr-old’s female partner died in 2017 and Zappone took some time out after that.
She appeared alongside Varadkar and Harris to say that they are campaigning for abortion on demand. The referendum date on the Eighth Amendment, the amendment that states the unborn baby has the equal right to life as its mother, has not yet been announced.
