American honeymooner appears in court in Antrim charged with attempted murder of three men




An American man who came to Ireland on his honeymoon with his new bride last week has been charged with the attempted murder of three men after a stabbing attack in County Antrim, the Irish Mirror has reported.

Nicholas Keith Warner (31) from South Carolina, who arrived in Dublin last week, appeared in Limavady Magistrate’s court to answer charges of attempt murder after he stabbed three men following an altercation outside a pub in the Antrim village of Ballycarry on Saturday the 4th of August.

Warner was helped into court by police officers, as he suffered a broken leg during the incident , denied having attempted to murder the three men as well as another charge of assaulting a fourth, though he admits to possessing a knife, The Belfast Telegraph reports.
