American tourists killed in freak horse and cart accident in Killarney named

Two American tourists killed in a freak horse and cart accident in Killarney have been named as Rosalyn Joy Few, 64, and her partner Normand Larose, 62.

The pair died when the horse pulling the cart they were riding on bolted, causing the cart to crash against a bridge. The couple were thrown over and landed on rocks below, dying almost instantly.

The area where the tragic accident happened, near the Gap of Dunloe, was the scene of another fatal incident last year when a female American tourist lost her life while riding a bike.
