Alan Vickory who has a brain tumour and was told he ” had to get surgery before the end of November “, he’s still waiting.
It’s absolutely unbelievable. Betty Rogers is waiting over two years to have surgery on her spin, she can barely walk three feet without leaning on something.
Betty’s husband Pat got emotional with his beloved wife when they thought about their nights out dancing compared to her immense back agony she’s in now.
Peter Doyle says his wife is afraid he’ll fall down the steps outside the stairs, has he been knocked down outside the shop.
John Kelly is waiting 2 years to have neck surgery
Another lady, Elaine is waiting 18 months for neck surgery.
Collette Hatchings is waiting 2 years for back surgery and said her family is under unbelievable pressure as a result of her pain.
13-yr-old Megan has a curved spin and needs immediate surgery.
She said she misses school and on one particular day, she missed two classes as a result of the pain in her back.
Poor Megan even cried on camera with the pain she was in.
Pat Kiely, Megan’s surgery said her curvature initially was 30 degrees and is now 80 degrees.
He said his urgent patients could be waiting a year. If he writes ‘routine’ on a patients chart, that patient will never be seen.
