Anger and fury by McCann supporters as online petition is launched to force Gerry and Kate to take a lie detector test

Gerry and Kate McCann and their supporters are said to be furious at an online petition launched to force the couple to take a lie detector test.

In May this year, little Madeleine McCann will sadly be 10 years missing after that faithful night in Praia de Luz, Portugal.

Metro.co.uk has reported that the latest petition is gaining more and more support each day has come after the British public have become increasingly more suspicious of the parents involvement in the case which seen the disappearance of little Madeleine.

It’s not the first time the couple have received such criticism, it is the first time that such criticism has reached an enormous amount of support, with many calling for the pair to own up once and for and all and tell the public what happened on that faithful night.

The McCann’s who recently appeared in the media to appeal for information regarding their daughter’s disappearance, have received a relentless amount of criticism from the British public and from people across the globe in recent years after they left their three children including Madeline alone and unsupervised whilst they went out to tapas bar whilst on a family holiday.

The latest petition however which was published on Care2Petitions, has drawn criticism from those close to the family with many calling for it to be taken down as it is completely disrespectful to the distraught parents who have suffered enough.

According to the paper a source close to the family said the petition was nothing than ‘utter rubbish’, that is does nothing cause more pain.

The source also claimed that a lie detector test would be pointless because ‘Kate and Gerry have got nothing to lie about.’

They added: ‘It’s just nonsense to suggest they have.’‘Lie detectors are not legally admissible in any court action in this country.

‘Any person can set up a petition about anything under the sun. This is the second one which has recently gone up on social media against Kate and Gerry.

‘But it’s not on the official parliamentary website which means it will not be open for possible discussion by MPs.’
