Another Islamist atrocity has been averted after German police swooped on a six man ISIS terrorist cell plotting imminent attacks in the country.
Raids involving over 500 police in the several German towns including Hannover have been reported and all six men arrested entered the country as Syrian refugees.
German media has reported that the cell had plotted to carry out attacks on a large public venue using firearms and explosives.
This incident comes on the back of recent calls by the beleaguered Islamic State for its supporters in the West to carry out attacks on the public in the run up to Christmas, particularly on events that are attended by children.
