After this week’s horrific Islamic extremists terrorism attacks in Brussels, one person with a spray can decided to paint graffiti on a wall in West Dublin to say that all “Muslims are Scum”.
The graffiti lasted for a few days until it was resprayed with similar white paint to read “Muslims are sound”.
The two images have been uploaded to social media where a worldwide debate has broken out over both slogans. Some claim this is only the start of such graffiti and that all Muslims will feel the backlash of the public’s anger towards ISIS, while others claim this is merely a one-off incident.
The hashtag associated with the images is quite simply #UpTheDubs and it is believed the graffiti was resprayed by Syrians living here in Dublin. The resprayed image is below:
