Eir customers across the country are outraged that their broadband, which has been down since yesterday, will not be fixed for at least four days.
Customers took to social media to voice their anger at what seemed to originally be intermittent service but now appears to be no service at all.
It is understood customers in Dublin, Cork, Galway, Waterford, Sligo, Limerick, Meath, Louth and Kerry have been affected by the outage which will not be repaired until October 3rd.
Speaking about the technical fault a Eir spokesperson said they are aware of the incident and technicians are working hard to address the issue.
“However given the nature of the fault it could be a number of days before normal service is restored to all our customers in the affected areas.”
“We apologise for any inconvenience caused by the fault.”
