The Taoiseach Leo Varadkar may have only begun his US St Patrick’s Day trip on Saturday, but it seems Mr Varadkar has already been meeting some high profile names during his visit.
In what will be a moment to remember for the Taoiseach, Mr Varadkar got to meet the former Governor of California and actor Arnold Schwarzenegger on Sunday.
The pair who exchanged pleasantries, were seen talking at the South by South West (SXSW) event before both men gave speeches.
During the exchange the Taoiseach reportedly told the actor that “he loved his work.”
Although the meeting was brief Mr Schwarzenegger was more than welcoming as he told Mr Varadkar that he was more than welcome in Santa Monica.
It is thought the invite came after the former Governor asked the Taoiseach was Santa Monica on the list of destinations during his visit.
