Around 300 migrants have attempted to storm the border crossing between the Spanish North African enclave of Ceuta and Morocco over the last week with 116 making it to European soil, the UK Daily Mail reported.

During the chaos the migrants used acid to attack the Spanish policemen guarding the border with seven officers suffering burns.

Spain has seen a massive influx of migrants from Africa since it saw the formation of its first feminist government in June the Mail reported with socialist Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez reducing border controls while at the same time Italy’s populist government increasing their own.

Tourists in Spain have been shocked by boat loads of Africans landing on Spanish beaches with dozens of migrants then fleeing onto the shore in hopes of evading detention, the Sun reported.
