Around one thousand “Take Back The City” people held a sit down protest in Dublin yesterday afternoon

Around one thousand protesters held a sit down protest in Dublin city centre yesterday afternoon.

The the Take Back The City protest which was organised to highlight the ongoing housing and homeless crisis in the saw a large group of people hold a sit down protest on O’Connell Street Bridge.

Under the eye of an Garda escort protesters made their way from the Garden of Remembrance to O’Connell Street in a show of solidarity against the ongoing crisis.

Those taking part say they hope the protests will not only highlight the ongoing issue but prompt the Government into take the appropriate action to tackle the crisis.

Not everyone is happy with the methods that these protesters are using.  What are your thoughts on this type of protest?
