Attention Stargazers the Planet Mars will be lighting up the skies over Ireland tonight.
The planet will be it’s closest it has been over a decade. Astronomy Ireland say the planet will be visible to the naked eye however people are being encouraged to view the large planet through telescopes.
To mark the historic occasion Astronomy Ireland are inviting people to its Dublin headquarters to view the event through their giant telescope.
