The woman who came to the attention of the nation this past March after she tried bring in medicinal cannabis oil for her seriously ill daughter has revealed that she has raised over €21,000 to bring her young daughter abroad for treatment.
Vera Twomey he received overwhelming support from people all over the country after she completed a mammoth challenge by walking from Cork to Dublin in protest of the Government’s decision to refuse to provide the treatment for her daughter Ava aged 7, who suffers from a severe and rare form of ellipse
Ms Twomey has now revealed that she now plans to take her young daughter to the Netherlands for the much needed treatment in the coming weeks ahead, she also thanked the public for their support during her and Ava’s campaign.
