Three skiers were killed in an avalanche near the village of Lech in the Austrian Alps on Saturday. A fourth remains missing.
These are the latest in a number of weather-related deaths across the European continent, as heavy snowfalls and sub-zero temperatures cause havoc as far south as Greece.
At least 120 flights were cancelled at Frankfurt Airport in Germany due to weather concerns.
Elsewhere in the Balkans, power lines failed due to heavy snow across many areas.
