Backlash Stateside after the Boy Scouts remove the word “Boy” to be more inclusive

There’s been uproar in America after the Boy Scouts removed the word “Boy” in an effort to be more inclusive.

In a move against gender normality and masculinity the Boy Scouts of America have dropped the word ‘Boy’ from the title of their organization

Chief Scout Executive Mike Surbaugh said the organization had made the decision to bow to pressure from LGBTQIA+ groups to move away from the original traditions and ethos of the Boy Scouts and said the new name reflects the “inclusive nature of the program going forward.”

The organization will also accept girls and transgender people as of next year despite the fact that the Girl Scouts will continue its prohibition on boys joining.

In the U.S and across the West there has been an increasingly vocal movement against masculinity, gender differences and tradition by progressive groups.
