Several WikiLeaks released emails has re-surfaced proving that social media giants worked directly with the Clinton campaign in the U.S Presidential Elections.
They have re-surfaced in the light of accusations by a former employee of Advertisement Company Cambridge Analytica may have supplied data of Facebook users to the Trump campaign to aid in advertising.
Despite the fact this kind of social media data usage and advertising was also utilised by the Clinton Campaign and was touted by the Obama campaign’s Carol Davidson as key to the Presidents 2012 election victory, the mainstream media is launching yet more attacks on the Trump administration over the claims.
However, as the more astute of the internet’s users were quick to point out, Facebook along with several other online media giants worked directly with the Clinton campaign to undermined Donald Trump’s bid for the White House and help elected Clinton President.
One such email, dated January 2 nd , 2016 was sent from Clinton’s campaign head John Podesta to Sheryl Sandberg Facebook’s CTO thanking her for the company’s supporter for the Clinton campaign and states that the campaign looks forward to working with Facebook and others to “elected the first woman President of the United States.”
