The BBC have been both praised and denigrated for their current Eastenders rape story.
The show was viewed by millions last night as it focused on the one continuous scene in the Queen Victoria pub with the entire cast talking about Ruby and her alleged rapist.
Ruby went home with Ross, Matt and Glenn and it’s understood that she had two sexual encounters on the night in question.
The BBC are said to have put months of research into the role where it’s not overly shown to the viewers what exactly happened to her.
The debate went on throughout the episode as to what is and isn’t appropriate, what’s consent and what isn’t consent and what’s politically correct and seen as incorrect to say these days.
