Motorists are being advised to take extra care on the roads this morning after Met Éireann issued a yellow status wind warning for ten counties.
The warning comes as high winds reaching a possible 110kp/h battered the south and west coasts of Ireland overnight.
Met Éireann say the warning has been issued to the following counties: Galway, Leitrim, Mayo, Roscommon, Sligo, Cavan, Donegal, Clare, Kerry and Limerick.
The warning remains in place until 9am this morning.
