It’s windy in many areas this morning, but it’s going to get worse as the day goes on. Initially Met Eireann issued a Status Yellow warning, but after reconsidering the expected winds of Storm Clodagh, they have now upgraded the warning to a Status Orange.
Gusts of wind are expected to reach speeds of up to 130 km/h. It is expected that it is highly likely there will be much distruption to air and road travel as well as electricity faults.
Motorists are advised to be extra careful while driving in extreme conditions as the storm will move from West to East during the day.
