Police in the North have confirmed that a section of a beach in Co Down has been closed off to the public following the discovery of a man’s body.
According to Belfast Live, the beach at Newcastle, Co Down, was closed off after the remains of the man were discovered early this morning.
It is believed the man’s body was discovered by a member of the public who was walking their dog in the area at approximatley 5am this morning.
Police say they are currently investigating the discovery and a technical examination of the scene is underway.
They added that they are unsure what may have caused the man’s death.
