It’s been one of the mildest Christmas weather spells we’ve gotten in recent years. Everyone is commenting on how daytime temperatures are reaching 10, 11 and even 12c.
But the national forecaster, Met Eireann has warned that conditions similar to the ones that gave rise to the now infamous Beast from the East are developing.
In other words, weather might get a lot colder over the next few days, especially in early January.
The weather agency is monitoring conditions closely, and will update in due course on whether we’re in for another beast from the East type of storm or if we’ll manage to avoid it.
