There is some big news for Prison Break fans as it has been reported that the much awaited season 5 will hit our screens in March 2016.
Although Wentworth Miller (Michael Schofield) and Dominic Purcell Lincoln Burrows) have confirmed they will be returning to smash hit series which will focus on evens after season 4 where Michael tragically died after being electrocuted. However as of yet no plotline has been revealed and who of the original cast members will be returning, although if reports are to be believed fan favorite Robert Knepper aka (Theodore Bagwell) is odds on to return. Meanwhile other lead characters with a high chance of returning is Sarah Wayne Callies (Dr. Sara Tancredi) who was survived by Michael Scoffield after he died, along with Amaury Nolasco (Fernando Sucre) who was Michael’s best friend and former cellmate.
However Veteran actor William Fichtner, who played another fan favorite Alexander Mahone, is not sure wether or not he will be returning, as he is currently the busiest of the former cast, after starring in several high profile films like “Elysium,” “The Dark Knight” and “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles”. He also had his own TV series in “Crossing Lines” and is currently guest starring in another Fox show “Empire.”
Meanwhile Fox CEO Dana Walden told U.S. entertainment website Deadline.com there will be “a logical and believable explanation as to why the characters are alive and still moving around the world”. She also confirmed major characters are coming back.
