Bird flu: Third case confirmed in Ireland




A third case of bird flu has been confirmed in Ireland today.

A swan in Co. Tipperary was displaying symptoms of the disease. When analyzed, it was found to be carrying the H5N8 strain.

No cases have yet been detected among poultry here, but the Department of Agriculture is keeping a watchful eye on any developments.
