Blasphemy complaint against Stephen Fry dropped due to insufficient number of outraged citizens

Stephen Fry recently fell foul of antiquated Irish blasphemy laws when he made some comments on an RTE show.

In light of these comments, a viewer became empowered by righteousness and took it upon himself to carry the sanctimonious duty of reporting such serious affront, calling upon a law that had become anachronistic even before the ink had dried up.

Such law dictates that it is illegal to publish or utter a matter that is “grossly abusive or insulting in relation to matters sacred by any religion, thereby intentionally causing outrage among a substantial number of adherents of that religion”.

Nonetheless, the desponded man has now been forced to keep scouring TV shows from the obscurity of his dwelling, looking for something else to complain about, as not enough citizens seem to share his degree of outrage on this one.

Consequently, the complaint has been dropped and Stephen Fry is in the clear to keep entertaining those who appreciate his craft.
