There were tragic scenes in Canada this morning, as the body of missing Mayo man David Gavin was found in a lake near where he was last seen.
David, who is from Breaffy, Castlebar, got into difficulties while swimming in a river in British Columbia last year, and was never seen since.
Extensive searches were mounted, but the high levels of water in the lake hampered the efforts.
His remains were located today, after water levels receded.
