A member of the public contacted Yorkshire police in the UK to report the grim finding.
The body of a newborn baby girl was discovered inside a wheelie bin in a communal waste area on Whitcliffe Grange, Richmond, Yorkshire.
Paramedics were contacted and they rushed to the scene, but sadly all they could do was to pronounce the newborn dead.
Yorkshire police have appealed for anyone with information about this incident to contact them.
