Boil Water notice put in place in Co Galway village Bullgar

Galway County Council have issued a warning to residents of Ballgar village in the county, to boil their water after traces of e-coli has been found in the public water supply.

Councillors from the county council have posted a number of notices on social media and local radio asking residents of the village to boil their water before use, as it can cause health issues. The County Council also say they have launched an investigation into the issue.

Meanwhile bosses at the state utility Irish Water along with the Environment Minister Alan Kelly have apologised for the inconvenience caused by the issue.
