An investigation is underway in the Chinese province of Wuhan, Hubei, central China, after a four year old boy died after being left inside a bus for more than seven hours.
The horrifying incident which has caused outrage amongst the Chinese public, occurred at Xingxing Kindergarten.
According to Chinese state media the young boy who was due to attend the nursery was not discovered missing until a considerable time after the school day had begun.
It is believed the young infant fell asleep on the bus and was not noticed by the driver who accidentally left him in the bus with temperatures outside reaching 30C.
Although the boy was brought to hospital after he was found in the bus, he was sadly pronounced dead on arrival.
Police investigating the incident say the school principal along with two teachers have been detained as part of a negligent manslaughter investigation.
It is reported that both teachers did not discover that the infant had been missing until several hours after class had begun.
