The vast majority of the country is still recovering from the damage that storm Desmond caused last weekend, but now things could soon get a lot worse as Met Eireann have issued two further warnings overnight.
That state forecaster has issued a yellow status high winds warning to those living in the South to southwest of the country as high winds in the region of 65 km/h are expected to batter the south coast over the next 24 hours, they also the gusts could reach up to 100 km/h.
Meanwhile a status yellow rainfall Warning has been issued to those living in the west of the country as 20-35 mm of additional rain expected to fall over the next 24 hours. Met Eireann say both warnings will remain in place until midnight tonight.
