A 10-year-old boy from North Dublin has been praised for his awareness and bravery recently after he refused to get into a vehicle after he was approached by an unidentified man.
The schoolboy from Swords should great courage and was highly alert after he was terrifyingly approached by a man driving by as he went to retrieve his football on Glen Link Road at Glen Ellan on the afternoon of Wednesday May 4th.
According to local reporters the strange man attempted to abduct the innocent young boy but was foiled by the youngsters resilience before a passer-by intervened.
It is understood the heroic passer by chased the would be abductor away before he then graciously phoned the boy’s parents.
Gardai say they are currently investigating the incident and have issued a description of the abductor, he is described as a black male, aged 40 to 50-years old, with a bald head.
