Jimmy Norman gave an incredibly brave interview on tonight’s Late Late Show about his daughter Aoibheann’s battle with cancer. The softly spoken gentleman spoke candidly about the horrendous battle his family and his beloved daughter, Aoibheann.
The Norman’s world was torn apart on January 22, 2009, when doctors told him his beautiful seven-year-old daughter Aoibheann had stage four cancer.
Recalling the heartbreaking diagnosis, the 51-year-old aircraft engineer said he “screamed so hard in the hospital room they had to clear the waiting room outside”.
Tragically Aoibheann passed away six days before her eight birthday on April 7th, 2010.
Jimmy has now dedicated much of his time to a special charity for children with cancer called Aoibheann’s Pink Tie.
