A woman aged in her 40s has been arrested tonight after a 3-yr-old girl was allegedly assualted at her home this afternoon.
The alleged incident happened at Aubrey Grove, Shankill, Dublin, at 4.15pm today.
The young child was taken to Our Lady’s Hospital in Crumlin.
The woman was then arrested on suspicion of assault causing harm to the child and taken into custody by an gardai.
She is currently being held at a southside garda station and being questioned over the incident.
The house where the alleged assualt took place has been sealed off for a technical examination.
