In the last hour, Tom Evans, little Alfie’s dad has confirmed that the family are going to appeal today’s High Court decision to allow his baby receive the care and medical help he deserves and has been offered in Italy.

This afternoon, it was confirmed that a High Court judge has rejected Tom and Kate’s plea to allow their baby Alfie Evans fly to Rome for treatment to help save his life.

Tom claims that heartless doctors switched off his baby’s life support roughly around 1am last night.

Little warrior, Alfie, has been breathing by himself for the past 17 hours and he is fighting for his life.

The Judge said Alfie’s parents could take their baby home and asked doctors to see if there was anything else they could do.

After an intervention from Pope Francis, Italy offered asylum to Alfie and offered him exploratory treatment in the Bambino Hospital in Rome.

However, a Judge today appears to think he knows better than Pope Francis and has told the family they are not allowed travel.
