Arlene Foster, the leader of the Democratic Unionist Party has signed a deal with the British Prime Minister Theresa May to form a minority government.
A meeting between the DUP and Conservative main leaders saw a minority government contract put in place with “special measures” set aside for Northern Ireland as part of the deal.
Ms Foster had said that she was going to basically make hay when the sun shines and would grab this opportunity with both hands.
Power sharing is also set to continue in the North as part of the deal.
