A school in North County Dublin has been forced to close today after an image posted on social media that a student was going to “shoot it up”.
Gardai have arrested a 16-yr-old after images posted on social media of a gun with threatening information to the school, its students and staff deemed a genuine threat.
One social media post claimed the student has got a gun and is going to shoot up the school tomorrow.
While another claimed if the students valued their lives to any regard not to go to school today.
The school, Ardgillan Community College, is closed today but should be reopened tomorrow.
Gardai have said that they now believe thatthere’s no imminent attack planned on the school.
