Breaking: Former Anglo Irish Bank chief executive David Drumm is found guilty of a conspiracy to commit fraud

The former chief executive of Anglo Irish Bank David Drumm, has been found guilty of a conspiracy to commit fraud and false accounting.

According to RTÉ News, Mr Drumm who has been the subject of a lengthy trial was convicted by the nine men and women of the jury before Dublin Circuit Criminal Court this afternoon.

Mr Drumm who pleaded not guilty, was accused of making the balance sheet at the bank look better than it actually was.

He was also accused of presenting false figures, which were reflected when the balance sheet showed a €7.2bn margin in the balance sheet between March and September 2008.
