Gardaí in Co Kilkenny have begun an investigation after the bodies of two elderly people were found at their home on Wednesday evening.
According to The Irish Mirror newspaper, the bodies of the 83-year-old man and 79-year-old woman were found at a house in Kilderry on the Johnswell Road.
It is not yet known how the couple died, but Gardai say the scene remains sealed off in order for a forensic examination to take place.
The couples remains have since been transferred to Waterford Regional Hospital where a post-mortem examination will take place.
